May's featured Pet of the Month from the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia is Arthur, an 8 year old bloodhound with a heart of gold. Transferred to HSSCG from Savannah Humane, the hope was that a change of scenery would help Arthur find the home he needs. After four months, he's still waiting. If you're familiar with Bloodhounds you'll know Arthur is true to his breed. He greets you with a loud and boisterous bark that's full of nothing but love and excitement. Of course he loves to go for walks and as soon as he's outdoors his nose hits the ground, ready to take in all the new smells of his surroundings. At almost 100 pounds Arthur's excitement can be, let's say, exciting! But once he's out and walking with his favorite people he soon calms down and his step falls in with yours. He does suffer from minor ear irritations, but it's nothing regular care for won't keep in check. Arthur is truly such a love, don't let his size and his age turn you away -- it only means there's more of him that loves, and that love is so much more special. Consider visiting Arthur today and helping this sweet hound find his way home. You can see the rest of the animals available for adoption at www.HSSCG.org.
