At the 2020 Executive Leadership Conference of the Georgia Association of Chamber of
Commerce Executives (GACCE) recently held on Jekyll Island, Past Chairman Sue Parr, President of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, passed the gavel and title of Chairman of the GACCE 2020-21 Board of Directors to Ralph Staffins, Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce President/CEO. GACCE has a long and distinguished history of serving chamber professionals in the state of Georgia and Staffins has been an active member of the GACCE Board for several years.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ralph Staffins as our 2020-21 GACCE Chair. He has been a member of our Board of Directors for several years, and we look forward to his leadership this year,” said Tiffany Ott, GACCE Executive Director.”
The membership of GACCE consists of Chamber of Commerce executives and staff, as well as those members of business and community organizations who are directly interested in or allied with Chamber of Commerce work in Georgia. GACCE provides its membership, which currently consists of 150 chambers, with exceptional services in the areas of professional development, information and networking opportunities. The Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce will be the voice of our local business community, a leader among community partners, and an advocate for the best quality of life.
Staffins should also be congratulated for another impressive achievement: the Brunswick Golden
Isles Chamber of Commerce earned 5-Star accreditation status with the United States Chamber of Commerce. With approximately 7,000 chambers in the United States, accreditation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is a prestigious honor that distinguishes the high quality, expertise, and strong leadership displayed by accredited state and local chambers of commerce. Only onepercent of chambers across the nation earn the 5-Star designation each year. It’s also worth noting that it’s rare that a Chamber is awarded 5-star accreditation the first time it applies, as was the case here. This is the only national program that recognizes chambers for effective organizational procedures and community involvement and the leadership in our community is already demonstrating it’s one of the best in the nation. Kudos to all!
