Soon they outgrew that location, relocated, and added window treatments to the products they sold. The business continued to grow and when they again needed a larger store, Little’s moved to its current Brunswick location at Glynn Ave. and 4th Street.
Enter the second generation. When the business opened, Joe and Charlotte’s son, Mitchell, worked there part-time. After college, he continued in the business, and when Joe and Charlotte retired in the 90’s, they turned Little’s over to him. The wall covering department was dropped, leaving sales of paint and blinds. Since the early 2000’s, the window covering side of the business has become the entire focus of Little’s Custom Blinds.
In 2008, Little's was chosen by Hunter Douglas to become an elite Gallery Dealer. Out of the tens of thousands of stores that sell Hunter Douglas products, only about 400 nationwide are designated as Galleries. Galleries provide the entire Hunter Douglas product line and have trained staff to help customers get the perfect product for their needs. Enter the third generation. In 2009, Mitchell’s son, Stephen Little, a Georgia Tech graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, began working for the business. Stephen is the only "Certified Motorization Specialist" in the area and is trained to install all types of remote controlled blinds.
