Fête for Haïti

Let the Water Flow. This is the theme of the 2021 Fête for Haiti, the annual fundraiser to support St. William's twin parish in Haiti. Helping Hugs, Inc. is now adjusting to current circumstances and holding the October 23^rd event as an evening of outstanding take-out meals prepared by Executive Chef Tom Delaney from Delaney’s Bistro, and an online auction. Curbside pickup will begin at 5:00 pm and end at 7:00 pm.  PICK-UP LOCATION: St. William Parish Hall  2300 Frederica Rd, Saint Simons Island, GA 31522  Ticket price is $60 per person. Last day to order tickets is Sunday, October 9th.

MENU:

• Fall Harvest Salad  -Mixed Greens  w/ Apples , Feta Cheese, Bacon Lardon and Honey – Dijon Vinaigrette

• Tart Cherry Braised Short Ribs

• Roasted Cauliflower and Garlic Mash

• Carrot-Spice Cake w/ Cream Cheese Buttercream Icing

Money raised will finance medical care, infrastructure projects, education, and, most importantly, clean water. As a source of good health and the foundation of community development, clean water is a priority. If people have an immediate source of water, they no longer have to carry it long distances, leaving them free to work or go to school instead. Generous donors of Helping Hugs have enabled the digging of the first well in 2021. A second well is in the planning stages. Your participation in the fundraiser is invited and greatly appreciated.

Thanks to your generosity, people in the Cotes-de-Fer region of Haiti can enjoy Clean, Potable water, Medical Treatment for Hypertension, 3 Schools for their children, Musical Instrument Lessons and Chapels that are welcoming and much more. Please join this wonderful evening of take-out.
