Historic Downtown Brunswick still comes to life on the first Friday of each month - now with streets closed off to provide ample space for social distancing. Shops stay open late, galleries host exhibits, there’s live music in various locations, a farmer’s market in Queen’s Square, crafts & more.
In February, the NEA Big Read kicks off with the opening of "Interpreting Myths" artwork by middle and high school students in the Wilcox Gallery in the Historic Ritz Theatre and "If I Had a Magical Pet" artwork by elementary students at the Brunswick Library. Free copies of the NEA Big Read book, Circe, will be given away while they last. At 7pm, a free screening of Jason and the Argonauts will take place at the Historic Ritz Theatre. Limited seating for safe distancing in the auditorium; masks required for entrance.
