Hook, Line, and PINKer!
Now in its 48th year of leading the way in raising funds for the Glynn County Unit of the American Cancer Society, the Victory Board presents the competitive fun of its annual fishing tournament that continues the year of fundraising events which will culminate with the annual Victory Gala later this fall. The Reelin’ in a Cure Band Party and Tripletail Tournament to benefit the Glynn County Unit of the American Cancer Society will take place on Mother’s Day Weekend, Friday and Saturday, May 12-13 at Morningstar Marina on St. Simons Island.
As a special tribute to brave mama fighters, the Friday night Band Party is going PINK! The Band Party, which will feature music by popular folk/Americana band Stewart & Winfield, will be a Pink Out Party to honor local mothers who have or who are currently battling cancer. The Victory Board encourages everyone to wear pink head to toe in support of these brave women. Band Party tickets are $40 per person in advance or $45 at the door and include entertainment, food by Southern Soul Barbecue and beverages provided by Parker’s Convenience Stores.
The cost to participate in the fishing tournament is $100 per adult angler and $50 for junior anglers. Fishing Tournament entries include the Captain’s Meeting, Band Party, Swag Bags and participant prizes. Tickets for the Pink Out Band Party and/or the Fishing Tournament can be purchased at Kennedy Outfitters on St. Simons Island or online acsvictoryboard.org. All proceeds benefit the Glynn County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
