Chef Shane Whiddon was a father, a husband, a mentor and a truly caring man as well as an incredible chef. He lost his life due to an act of violence of a disgrunted employee he had recently terminated. A number of chefs have decided to get together and take care of one of their own. Shane left behind two sons and his beloved wife Shannon. Some of the best chefs in the South have volunteered to participate in an event hosted by Certified Burgers & Beverage on October 24th. Each chef will have a station with a dish inspired by Shane. There will also be live music by Tonic Blue and a silent auction to raise money for the Whiddon Family. Food and drink are included in the $50 ticket price, and beer, wine, and liquor will be all-inclusive.
