Chef Dave Snyder and his crews are opening a taco joint! La Plancha (“iron griddle”) is coming soon and promises to be the next island favorite from the Halyard Restaurant Group. Fun and thoroughly non-fancy, the focus at La Plancha will be on authentic Mexican recipes created from the classic “iron griddle” method. Also on the menu will be items inspired by his mother’s Colombian kitchen including Empanadas, Ajiaco, Yucca and Aji. Chef Dave and La Plancha Chef Adam Jones have crafted a menu of traditional recipes (“Street Tacos”), and new creations (“Tacos Gringos”) for sensational tacos, burritos, quesadillas, soups, salads, appetizers, desserts and more. The bar will feature house-made margaritas, a variety of tequilas, beer and wine. La Plancha will be open for lunch and dinner daily at 3600 Frederica Road, next to the 19th Hole Package Store.
