Recently the Golden Isles chapter of Jack and Jill of America made history as one of the newest chapters in the national organization that was founded in 1938. The chartering milestone celebrated a year of working and living to impact the lives of children in local counties. Shontae Buffington, president of the newly chartered chapter, and Kaia Alderson, chapter vice president, desired to provide an opportunity for their children to engage with other mothers and children via strategic programming. The Golden Isles Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated consists of mother members who reside in Camden, Glynn, and McIntosh Counties and uniquely and strategically strengthens children to be the next generation of leaders through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty.
