Randy Siegel’s Painted Prayers: Prayers During a Pandemic, will open on November 9 and be on display through January 2. More than another art show, this exhibition is a way to usher in the holidays feeling more hopeful about the
future by centering around three intentions: gratitude, trust, and service. The community is invited to actively engage with Glynn Visual Arts (GVA) and the artist via three different actions reflecting the themes of the exhibition. The Millie Wilcox Gallery at The Ritz Theatre - Historic Downtown Brunswick
Golden Isles Arts & Humanities hosts Mythologies, a series of powerful workby artist Cullen Peck through November 20. Cullen Peck is an Atlanta-born contemporary figurative artist. While minoring in studio art at NYU, she began taking her craft seriously and moved to Florence, Italy. There she studied with modern Renaissance master Alan Pascuzzi before moving on to study painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. While her work has moved away from traditional techniques, it is still deeply influenced by Italian Renaissance proportions and iconographies. Having recently returned to the U.S. from Tuscany, Cullen is now exploring more conceptual and personal work. Mythologies, is reflective of her origins as an artist working in Florence. Drawings and Paintings by Jim Jones
Paintings and Drawings by Jim Jones will be on display from November 6 through December 31. Artist Jim Jones creates paintings often characterized by shadow and light. He captures clouds, haunting marshscapes, and gnarled trees shrouded in Spanish moss with shadows pierced by bolts of sunlight. Treasured coastal visions such as these, or beaches just before or after a storm are common subjects, reflecting Jones' lifelong absorption with the secrets of nature. Goodyear Cottage - Jekyll Island Historic District
The Jekyll Island Art Association is currently hosting an exhibit featuring the photography of Ame Ivanov and the fashion and accessory design of Dilys and Rob Jagger. The exhibit will be on display through November 22.
Opening November 27 and running through December 28, the Merry Artists Market will feature handmade, one-of-a-kind items priced from $5 to $250.
