With May closing out the school year, naturally our thoughts turn to celebrating high school seniors as they graduate. Whether they’re Most Likely to Ace a Pop Quiz or Most Likely to Skip Class for a Golf Outing with Dad, we think all seniors deserve accolades. Because our pages and schedule can’t accommodate everyone, we’ve chosen some seniors and their families as our “ambassadors” to represent the Class of 2022, but we intend this to be a celebration of all seniors. Tyson D. Rooks is an Outstanding Senior at Glynn Academy and was voted most athletic for the class of 2022. Tyson lettered in basketball, tennis, football, and track. He will attend the University of Illinois UC on a football scholarship but is undecided on a major. He hosts and busses tables at Bennie's Red Barn, loves to work out, relax at the beach with friends and fish in his spare time.

A honor student at Glynn Academy, Drake works in golf services at Frederica Township and completed the Evans Scholar caddy program last summer. He'll be heading to either University of Florida or Georgia Southern in the fall. Drake plans to major in sports management. When not at work or his studies, he enjoys getting in a few rounds of golf during the week.

An honor student at Frederica Academy, Megan is attending the University of Georgia in the fall, where she plans to major in either finance or special education. Throughout high school, Megan was involved in several sports and service clubs where she had the opportunity to be a leader for her peers and give back to her community. Megan looks forward to doing the same in Athens. Go Dawgs!

An honor roll student and third year varsity baseball player at Glynn Academy, Jackson is President of the Spirit Club and a member of the Beta Club. Jackson plans to attend Georgia Southern in the fall as a marketing major. He has worked at The Half Shell and attends a 707 group weekly, loves the beach and fishing.

An honor student at Brunswick High School, Ari is also Drumline Section Leader for BHS Marching Pirates and honor band member. The Executive Board Present of Student Council, she is also a member of the National Honor Society and Pirates of the Spanish Main, and a Keep Golden Isles Beautiful volunteer. Ari will be continuing her education in music and performance at Georgia Southern and plans to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine.

A senior at Glynn Academy, Todd is dually enrolled in Coastal Pines Technical College's welding program. He holds a position at Sea Island Forge and is looking forward to a second summer as a Glynn County Beach Lifeguard. In his free time, Todd enjoys CrossFit, riding 4-wheelers, and time at the family farm. He will likely pursue a career in welding and firefighting/EMS.
