Despite a slight postponement due to a weather forecast that included a potential hurricane, the Golden Isles Alzheimer’s Walk on St. Simons Island was once again a big success, with numerous teams participating. Close to $90,000 was raised through donations and the purchase of Sea Island Experience Raffle tickets. Proceeds from the Golden Isles Alzheimer's Walk benefit Memory Matters Glynn and the Goizueta Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at Emory University in Atlanta.
