Dorothy Bromley, the new Executive Director of Glynn Community Crisis Center, comes to the Golden Isles after a “30-year detour in Michigan.” The Augusta native brings with her a wealth of experience in non-profit management and policy development. She worked with the Humane Society of South Central Michigan, participating in programs that assisted victims of domestic violence. As a specialist with the Woman’s Co-op of Battle Creek, Dottie established procedures, wrote grants and coordinated the work of multiple agencies that provided shelter and life skills training for women in at-risk situations. She also provided assessment services for the Battle Creek Community Foundation as well as other non-profit agencies in Michigan. Dottie and her husband, John, take every opportunity to enjoy golf in the mild Coastal Georgia weather, and are dedicated dog lovers who lavish affection and care on their houseful of fortunate four-legged “children.” For more information about the Glynn Community Crisis Center, visit amityhouse-gccc.com.
