In this issue of Elegant Island Living, the Davis Love Foundation (DLF) continues its partner and charity spotlight with a focus on the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia, an organization that has been serving our community since 1938.
The Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia has been a partner and primary beneficiary of proceeds from The RSM Classic since its inception in 2010. The organization fills a critical need in our community and serves more than 3,600 youth annually. The Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Georgia inspires and enables youth from all backgrounds, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, caring adults. The Boys & Girls Clubs of America help millions of kids and teens develop essential skills, make lasting connections, and have fun each and every year.

“Through the RSM Classic, the Davis Love Foundation has tremendously impacted the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia by helping us serve kids in a safe place, deliver educational, fun programming and empower boys and girls to reach their full potential as responsible citizens. We have been able to grow our clubs, with ten clubs in Glynn County and two clubs in McIntosh County,” said Brooke Eldridge Parmelee, Director of Development for the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia. “The RSM Classic has also allowed us to introduce the game of golf to our club members. We thank the Davis Love Foundation for continuing to support the youth in Glynn County.”
“The Boys & Girls Club fills an important need in our community with programs that span learning and literacy, empowering good citizenship and leading healthy and productive lives,” said RSM Classic Executive Director Mark Love who also serves on the Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors. “We hear and see the stories of lives changed by the organization and the positive impact they have been making in our community for decades.
“The PGA TOUR has a long history of giving back, and the Davis Love Foundation is honored to be a part of this tradition,” said Love. “The level of support the Foundation provides to the Boys & Girls Club and other local, regional and national nonprofits is due in large part to our corporate partners, including title sponsor RSM, and through the generous support of our surrounding community in the form of sponsors, volunteers and ticket purchasers. We’re excited to be able to welcome all these groups back to The RSM Classic this November.”
