The Georgia Alzheimer’s Foundation recently presented Memory Matters Glynn with a $60,000 grant to support its mission of supporting, educating and enriching the lives of individuals dealing with memory issues and the people who care for them. This amount represents proceeds from local fundraisers including the Golden Isles Alzheimer’s Walk that took place in September. Foundation Director Andrea Mickelson said, “It is so important for those living with cognitive issues to remain social and know their purpose and for caregivers to feel supported and know they are not alone.” For more information about Memory Matters Glynn, visit memorymattersglynn.com.
