MorningStar Receives Grant from Murray Foundation
Thanks to the generosity of our community in meeting the funding challenge presented by the Murray Challenge Grant, Morningstar Children and Family Services recently received a grant from the Stuart and Eulene Murray Foundation to complete renovations to Bradley Cottage. One of three residential homes on campus, Bradley Cottage was temporarily closed in August 2021 due to staffing shortages created by the pandemic. This presented the opportunity to make extensive renovations to the facility. Hank and Julie Rowland were on hand to officially present the grant. Hank’s great-grandfather, Stuart Murray, and his wife Eulene established the Foundation. Julie has worked closely with Morningstar through her business PillowGrace and its philanthropic arm, the PillowGrace Project, as well as other charitable organizations. Established in 1996, Morningstar is the only residential program in Georgia dedicated to foster children with developmental disabilities. Learn more at morningstarcfs.org.
