Scott Hutchinson Frederica Academy
Frederica Academy has appointed Scott Hutchinson to be its next Head of School, effective July 1, 2019. Hutchinson has worked in independent schools around the country for the majority of his professional life. He is the founding head of two lower schools and one middle school, and he served for over twenty years as President at Webb School of Knoxville and Head of School at Renbrook School in Connecticut (his current position). Hutchinson graduated from Duke University where he majored in English and was captain of the soccer team. He earned a master’s degree in counseling from the College of William and Mary. Mr. Hutchinson has presented at both national and regional conferences around the country and has served as an accreditation chair in regional associations including the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS).
