In recent years, more people have been choosing bright cabinets that make your kitchen pop. Another new trend we’re seeing more often is mixing colors in the kitchen. For example, pairing white cabinets with a gray island or bright blue cabinets with beautiful low luster gold hardware.

Shaker cabinets have been growing in popularity and will likely continue to be a kitchen trend in 2022. So many people choose shaker cabinets because of their simplicity. That simplicity lends itself to great accent pieces, as well as abundant color options and unique hardware. Shaker cabinets are practically timeless.
Another new trend we’re seeing is natural wood finishes. Clients are combining natural wood finishes and colored cabinets for a warm and friendly ambiance. For example, a wood island and over the stove hood serve to accent colored cabinets. Some clients choose all-natural wood kitchens then use special hardware to give the all-wood look a distinct accent and complete the kitchen with beautiful quartz or granite countertops.

Decorum is family-owned and operated by Golden Isles natives John, Marie, and Myrick Stubbs. The business has been located at 1919 Glynn Ave. Suite 48 since our inception eighteen years ago. In addition to her duties as the Chief Operating Officer and handling the day-to-day operations, Myrick serves the community by working with several local organizations and non-profits. As a family, we support our community, enjoy our friends, love our church, and feel fortunate to live in this little paradise.

We offer personalized design services customized to your style. Our designers can design anything you need and with so many options to fit any size project or budget with our 2020 design software. If you are remodeling, Decorum can do the remodel of your kitchen or bath. We work with talented contractors to turn your space into the finished project of your dreams. In-home visits and consultations are always a good idea and are one of our long suits. We come to your home to assess the job and measure, and from there we start the process of creating your dream kitchen or bath. Decorum designers draft 3-D designs and can provide color renderings with a complete presentation of the project if the client desires.
