Alohomora! The Magic of Storytelling in Harry Potter

Carissa Baker, Professor at Seminole State College of Florida, where she teaches literature, writing, a Disney-focused humanities course, and interdisciplinary Honors courses, will be presenting "Alohomora! The Magic of Storytelling in Harry Potter" Her presentation will reflect on some of the significant and empowering themes from the Harry Potter series. It will also look at the transcendence of storytelling and literature as revealed through the cross-media world of the J.K. Rowlings series.
