Dr. Gordon Johnston is a poet, essayist, and fiction writer who teaches English at Mercer University. His first fiction collection, “Seven Islands of the Ocmulgee: River Stories,” consists of seven stories written after the author canoed the Ocmulgee and its tributaries.
