Operation Bed Spread is still at work helping others with your donations. Formed on the belief that every child deserves a good night’s sleep, this local nonprofit organization collects and delivers beds to families and agencies in need of beds for children. To date, they have delivered nearly 1500 beds. Mattresses that are donated are cleaned and sanitized. Money donated is used to cover the costs of transportation and purchase mattresses to meet need. You can help support this continuing ministry by attending the annual Back-2-School Bedlam fundraiser at Brogen’s South on Sunday, August 28 at 2:30 p.m. There will be live music by local band Idle Hands, Lite bites and Happy Hour pricing on beer and wine. Tickets are $25 payable at the door.
