Don’t miss out on CoastFest 2016! From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, the regional headquarters campus of the Georgia DNR at the foot of the Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick will be filled with more than 80 environmental, educational research and resource exhibitors from around the Southeast, as well as science-based entertainers in an atmosphere of fun. Visitors of all ages can learn about Georgia’s unique coastal environment in exhibits from touch tanks with marine life to coastal weather, native plants to horseshoe crabs, water conservation to archeology, herpetology, geology, kayaking, fishing and shoreline restoration, and more! In 2014, the 20th Anniversary of CoastFest set a new attendance record with more than 9,600 visitors to event! That brings total attendance to more than 100,000 people since the Georgia Coastal Management Program began hosting the program to celebrate the state’s coastal natural resources in 1995.
