Free film screening kicks off new public program series in Brunswick.
Come out for a free film screening of the visually stunning documentary “The Human Element,” where environmental photographer James Balog captures the lives of everyday Americans on the front lines of climate change. Following the film, there will be a panel of local experts highlighting efforts to build climate resiliency in coastal Georgia. Panelists include Susan Inman, the Altamaha Coastkeeper; Randy Tate, Ft. Stewart/Altamaha Partnership Coordinator for the Longleaf Alliance; and Rachel Guy, Research Coordinator for the Sapelo Island National Estuarine Research Reserve.
Registration is encouraged. Free childcare is available during the event for ages 2-12 with pre-registration.
This event is the first in a series of new programs for adults hosted by UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant in the Brunswick area. Activities in the Green Living Series will include a film screening, field trips and hands-on learning about tangible and affordable conservation actions that all coastal residents, whether you are a renter or a homeowner, can take to improve the health of our coast.
