Georgia Coast Cleanup 2025
Boating in and enjoying coastal Georgia’s waters is such a treat—and we all share a role in keeping them healthy. Join in the 2025 Georgia Coast Cleanup, and be a coastal steward for our marshes, beaches, and waterways. The Georgia Coast Cleanup will kick-off on Saturday, September 20, which is International Coastal Cleanup Day, and conclude on Saturday, October 4.
Participating is easy:
1. Register your group for either a boat- or shore-based cleanup.
2. Gather your own supplies (bags, gloves, grabbers) or pick up supplies at Dunbar Yachts on St. Simons Island.
3. Ensure you have a plan for a safe and enjoyable cleanup effort.
4. Snap photos of your group in action.
5. Record your efforts after you are finished.
6. Feel great knowing you made a difference for Georgia’s coast!
Marine debris negatively impacts both our environment and economy, costing coastal communities millions each year in cleanup efforts and lost tourism. By pitching in, you’ll help ensure healthy marshes, beautiful shorelines, and great fishing for years to come.
Registration is virtual. Cleanups can be conducted anywhere along Georgia’s coast; gear and support materials will be available at Dunbar Yachts on St. Simons Island. Cleanups should be conducted between September 20, 2025 through October 4, 2025.
