Guale Preserve Trail Run and Fun Community Celebration

Join the Board, Staff, Ambassadors, and Volunteers of the St. Simons Land Trust for a Community Celebration of Guale Preserve, a 258-acre wilderness area on the north end of St. Simons Island with abundant ecological, historical and cultural significance.
Guale Preserve Trail Run and Fun
The celebration will include the island's first Trail Run through Polly's Trail inside the Preserve. Participants can choose between running the loop once or twice. Following the Trail Run, guests can participate in several fun, educational activities including those for kids.
Trail Run: 8:00AM - 9:00AM 1.5-mile loop or 3-mile double loop
Fun: 9:00AM - 11:00AM Wildlife Encounters, History Talks, Naturalist-Led Hikes...and more!
There will be NO parking at the main entrance, Middle Road. Attendees are asked to bike into the Preserve or park at Oglethorpe Point Elementary School. A trolley will drive attendees from Oglethorpe to Guale Preserve from 7:00-11:30AM. Runners are asked to arrive to the parking area no later than 7:30AM. The race will begin at 8:00AM sharp.
Please Note: The Trail Run is limited to 100. Early registration is therefore advised. All registrants will receive a free t-shirt.
