Art Under Oaks

This September, Glynn Visual Arts celebrates its 49^th year hosting the beautiful fine arts and crafts festival now known as Art Under the Oaks. True to tradition, this is an open and free event to the community and artists will hail from around the region representing a wide range of mediums. Up to seventy (70) artists and craftspeople are expected to present a variety of original two and three-dimensional art, sculpture, photography, jewelry, textiles, ceramics, wood, metal and glass - all available for purchase. 

NEW this year! GVA will host its very first Merry Mermaid Parade (all sea creatures and mermen are of course also welcome!) Parade registration/entry fee to participate is $10 per person. This event is open to anyone, kids and adults alike. Just don your best mermaid tail or sea creature outfit and come on out to join the fun! Raffle for prizes and ribbon awards for the best costumes! Registration is on-line at GVA’s website or starting at 10:30am on Saturday morning, September 28. Parade line-up begins at 10:45.

This festival is a fun event featuring unique offerings with something for everyone with new art and artists, food, music, the Merry Mermaid Parade and a free kid’s arts/crafts area known as the “Kid’s Creation Station.” Don’t miss this entertaining weekend for all!
