The inaugural speaker at Glynn Visual Arts’ (GVA) Kaleidoscope program of was Phillip Verre, the COO of Atlanta’s High Museum. He returns for another Kaleidoscope discussion on May 5 with “Habsburg Splendor: Masterpieces from Vienna’s Imperial Collections,” detailing an extraordinary exhibition that will be at the High from October 18 through January 17, 2016. The exhibition, largely composed of works that have never traveled outside of Austria, Vienna, showcases the Habsburgs’ stunning, centuries-long collection of artworks and rarities. From the masters Rubens and Titian, to weapons and armor, Greek and Roman antiquities, horse carriages and more, this approximately 100-piece exhibition will be breathtaking. The Kaleidoscope program will be at the A.W. Jones Heritage Center, and begins at 6:00 p.m., with a reception immediately following. Tickets are $25 for GVA members and $30 for non-members.
