Journeys Guided Tour of the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum

The Coastal Georgia Historical Society is pleased to introduce a new winter series called "Journeys" combining educational programming with an expert-led field trip. The inaugural theme will be the American Bomber Boys of World War II. 

Join the Society for a field trip to the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum in Savannah. The trip will include an in-depth guided tour focused on the legendary unit founded in Savannah a month after Pearl Harbor was attacked. Among other fascinating exhibits is a B-17G Flying Fortress bomber, now on display after a six-year, 45,000 hour restoration. Lunch at the Museum's pub will follow the tour. 

$60 per person includes round trip transportation from the A.W. Jones Heritage Center, museum admission & lunch. Pre-registration is required. Register online at saintsimonslighthouse.org.
