This year makes the sixth for Shamrockin’ to benefit Communities in Schools of Glynn. The fun fundraiser will return on Saturday, March 16 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in a new venue: Conquer (near ACE Garden Center). Celebrate your St. Patrick’s Day early and support students in the community with an evening of dancing and shenanigans with Dr. John Weaver in the DJ booth, live music by Thunderbird Blues Band, delicious light bites to satisfy your palate and free flowing beer and wine. All proceeds from the event benefit Communities in Schools of Glynn. Communities in Schools works closely with schools, social services, businesses and volunteers to get young people the things they need to learn, grow, and become productive adults: mentors and tutors, after-school help, and family services to stabilize the home.
