Ecumenical Service, “Sing for Community, Sing for Peace” Saturday, Nov. 16 at 5:00 p.m. St. Simons United Methodist Church, 624 Ocean Blvd. St. Featuring the world premiere performance
of a new work by guest clinician, composer and conductor in residence, Elaine Hagenberg, commissioned for this event. Guest speaker Mr. Terry Readdick. $10 donations to attend the service greatly appreciated. Proceeds go toward continuity of the event plus cost of commission and travel.
The Saint Simons Sacred Music Festival kicks off its inaugural year with renowned composer and conductor Elaine Hagenberg, whose new work, ”Awake, My Soul,” was commissioned for this event. The festival choir, consisting of church choir members from around the community as well as the Glynn Academy Concert Choir, will present the world premiere of this work at the ecumenical service, Sing for Community, Sing for Peace, which concludes the festival weekend. Mr. Terry Readdick is our guest speaker at the service, which will be held Saturday, Nov. 16 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Simons United Methodist Church. $10 donations at the door will be greatly appreciated to help with the costs of the commission and travel
