Encore Performances of THE SOUND OF MUSIC

The Encore Company proudly presents one final added weekend of encore performance of "The Sound of Music" at the brand-new Encore Performing Arts Center in Brunswick. This beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein classic involves a talented local cast and crew of over thirty people, as well as timeless music in a heartwarming celebration of family, courage, and the power of song.

Directed by Encore’s award-winning artistic team, this production brings new life to the timeless story of Maria, the spirited governess who brings joy and music back into the home of Captain von Trapp and his seven children amidst the backdrop of a changing Austria.

“The Sound of Music is a story about resilience, love, and hope—values that speak to audiences of all ages,” said Sinyard, Founder and Artistic Director of The Encore Company. “We chose this show to celebrate the opening of our new home for adult community shows and to bring our community together through this unforgettable musical journey.”

Performances Friday & Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:30pm, August 29-31.
