Come out to Fort King George for the annual Viking Althing. This unique event is unlike anything else in the area! Experience the culture, dress, food, and weaponry of the Viking Age come to life in South Georgia. This year, there will be groups of reenactors from states all over the Southeast, including Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, and even Ohio. Vendors will be on site selling traditional wares. There will be plenty to see, including demonstrations in blacksmithing, woodworking, combat, and more. Guided tours available on request. Guests of all ages with interests in traditional Norse history are welcome to this educational and entertaining event.
