"Women and Threads" Golden Isles FiberArts Guild Exhibit Opening and Fashion Show

The Golden Isles FiberArts Guild presents its “Women and Threads” February 3 through
March 3, 2017 at the SoGlo Gallery in Historic Downtown Brunswick. Gallery hours are Wednesday thru Friday 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 pm. The opening reception is Friday, February 3, 5:00 – 8:00pm.This exhibit is a tradition of the Guild since 1987. Featured pieces include applique, beading, weaving, embroidery, rug hooking, quilts, and garment designs. On Friday only there will be a Fashion Show scheduled at 6:30 featuring “one of a kind” garments made by members in the Garment Group. Demos will be on-going during this opening event. Raffle tickets for a lovely Knitted Throw are being sold at $2.00 per ticket or 3 for $5.00. Ticket are available at SoGlo Gallery and The Stitchery on St. Simons. Drawing for coverlet will take place on March 3, at 7:30 p.m. This is another fun “First Friday” event. For sale items will be on display throughout the exhibition. The Golden Isles FiberArts Guild mission is to promote and provide resources and educational opportunities.
