Grab Your Golden Ticket! The Young People’s Summer Workshop (YPSW) has been an Island Players production since 1975, attracting 60 to 80 kids ages 8+ to be introduced to the wonderful world of theater. Not only do these young thespians have a great deal of fun and meet other kids to share the theater experience, but they also learn about stage etiquette and how to be a responsible team participant. This summer’s production is Roald Dahl’s Willie Wonka Jr. This adaptation of the classic tale of Willy Wonka and his marvelous chocolate factory features songs from the original 1971 movie and new songs that will be sure to delight. Shows will take place at 7:30 p.m. on July 12-15 and 19-22 and at 3:30 p.m. July 15-16, 22-23, at the St. Simons Casino Theatre. Tickets are $12.
