White Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

4 c. whole milk

3 tsp. peppermint extract (or 4-6 oz. peppermint Schnapps or peppermint vodka)

1½ c. white chocolate chips (or combination of white and milk chocolate)

1 tsp. vanilla extract

whipped cream

mini candy canes

Preparation:

Place milk, peppermint extract (or Schnapps or vodka), white chocolate, and vanilla in a medium saucepan. Cook on medium-low heat, whisking continuously, until chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth. Be careful not to let it come to a boil. When chocolate is thoroughly melted and the mixture is smooth, pour into mugs immediately. Garnish with whipped cream, white chocolate chips, and mini candy canes.
