June Exhibit: June 3-27 - Georgia Artists with Disabilities Touring Exhibit
Sponsored by the Pilots Club of Metro Atlanta and the Brunswick Pilot Club, this annual touring exhibit features the work of artists from all over the state in a variety of media, including painting, photography, clay pottery, mosaic, textiles, and other fine art media.

Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p. m. and during performances and events. Admission to all art exhibits in The Wilcox Gallery at the Ritz Theatre is free. Anderson Fine Art Gallery - 3309 Frederica Rd.
Works on display in Anderson Fine Art Gallery include an outstanding group of professional and emerging artists and offers landscapes, still life, and some non-representational works. Seasonal exhibitions complement their curated core collection of paintings and sculpture.
LIGHT & SHADOW, featuring works by Rani Garner & Loren DiBenedetto will open on Friday, April 25 with a Opening Reception from 5-7pm and be on display through May 27. This exhibition brings together the luminous works of Rani Garner and Loren DiBenedetto in a compelling expoloration of contrast and depth. Garner's landscape paintings capture the ever-changing essense of light, evoking the single perfect moment for the viewer. DiBenedetto complements this with her striking still lifes, where bold compositions and dramatic shadows transform everyday objects into dynamic expressions of form and color.

Anderson Studio Gallery - 100 Sylvan Drive, Suite 170
Anderson Studio Gallery, formerly known as the Artists Annex, located right around the corner from Anderson Fine Art Gallery, is now a remodeled gallery, featuring pop-up exhibits and is the location for the many workshops hosted by Anderson Fine Art Gallery. These workshops have been held for more than 15 years and are taught by professional artists from across the country who come to the island to instruct fellow painters. Students travel year-round to attend the studio and plein air workshops. Full workshop schedule can be found at workshopsonstsimonsisland.com and attached below. Artist Sherry Egger also offers private instruction by appointment in the studio.
ArtTrends Gallery - 3305 Frederica Road
"THREE VISIONS" featuring new works by ArtTrends artists Trish Rugaber, Ella Cart, and Dottie Clark will open on Friday, May 2. Come out that evening between 4-7pm for an Opening Reception and the celebration of ArtTrends Gallery's 10th Anniversary.

April 29 - June 6: ANIMALS AND US - Ella Cart, Bettina Dickson Rusher, and Ken Wallin

ANIMALS AND US is a Immersive Art Exhibition featuring works by Ella Cart, Bettina Dickson Rusher, and Ken Wallin. The exhibition will feature a captivating mix of artistic mediums alongside live animal ambassadors, chaperoned by the Jekyll Island Conservation Authority. Through this innovative blend of art and nature, the exhibition creates a dynamic environment designed to both engage and inform visitors of all ages.
Coming in June:
June 10-July 11 - BALANCE AND GROWTH - featuring Bold Acrylic Abstracts and Bronze Cold Cast Sculptures by contemporary artists Beth Sale and Brian Junghans. Sale, a painter from Athens, GA, uses symbols and geometry to create boldly colorful acrylic abstracts that represent human connections across time and distance. Junghans, from Norcross, GA, works in bronze cold cast sculpture to portray self-identity and a wide array of human emotion. These artists have not previously exhibited together.

Sale holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an undergraduate degree in arts from the University of Georgia. Sale has experience as a professor, was Director of Art Galleries at the University of North Georgia, and Curator at the Lyndon House Arts Center in Athens. Her works coming to GVA portray the usage of time and space, with “do-lists as bubbles of possibility for our lives.”
Junghans is originally from Madison, WI, and attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His sculptures began getting attention in Atlanta, GA in the mid 1990s after an article by Creative Loafi ng, a long-standing publication devoted to creatives and experiences in Atlanta. His expressive sculptures have shown in various galleries, art shows, and libraries in the Atlanta and the metro area.
BALANCE AND GROWTH is free and open to the public. Visitors are invited to meet the artists at an Opening Reception on Thursday, June 12, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

Golden Isles CVB Welcome Center - Live Oak Shop - 529 Beachview Drive
Nestled within the Golden Isles Welcome Center, the Live Oak Shop is a thoughtfully curated gallery boutique celebrating the natural beauty and timeless charm of the Golden Isles. Featuring original works, as well as matted and framed prints by acclaimed local and regional artists, the collection captures the landscapes, light, and coastal spirit of the Golden Isles. Coming in June - Saturday, June 28, celebrate the opening of Glenda Cason's summer fine art show, featuring never-before-seen orginal works on canvas inspired by the Golden Isles. The exhibition will be on view through July 28.

Hotel Simone - 1200 Ocean Boulevard
Suzy Dmetruk is the current Artist in Residency at Hotel Simone in partnership with Glynn Visual Arts (GVA). Suzy is abstract painter from St. Simons Island who brings the vibrant colors and textures of coastal Georgia to life in her work. With a background in Art Education and a love for global travels, Suzy's creativity knows no bounds. Come meet the artist and explore her stunning pieces at a reception at Hotel Simone on Thursday, April 10, from 5-7pm.
Her beautiful works will be on display at Hotel Simone through June 2025.

Jekyll Island Art Association - Goodyear Cottage - Historic District
May 1-31: Jekyll Island Arts Association presents its May gallery show: WATER & CLAY - An exhibition of works by Debbie Craig (pottery) and Liz Holm (painting). Opening Reception will be held on Sunday, May 4 from 1-3pm.

The Opening Reception for ANIMALS AND US, an Immersive Art Exhibition featuring works by Ella Cart, Bettina Dickson Rusher, and Ken Wallin will be held at Glynn Visual Arts from 4:30-7:00 p.m. One Hundred Miles will be there with information for the public about our coast and their mission. The exhibition, which runs through June 6, will feature a captivating mix of artistic mediums plus additional special programs throughout the month, including some live animal ambassadors, for an innovative blend of art and nature that creates a dynamic environment designed to both engage and inform visitors of all ages.
The kick-off of the Brunswick Art Loop - First Thursday Gallery Groove takes place in Historic Downtown Brunswick from 5-7pm. The downtown galleries are continuing their coordinated effort to increase the visibility of the arts and artists in Historic Downtown Brunswick with the Brunswick Art Loop where new exhibits and original artwork will be featured on the First Thursday of each month from 5-7 pm. The Brunswick Art Loop will showcase ten downtown galleries and specialty shops that will feature new exhibits, opportunities to meet the artists, light refreshments and more. A map will be made available to assist patrons on their journey, and they are encouraged to follow the Loop, beginning at stop number 1 – Atlanta North Art Gallery with artist Gary “Gato” Grace’s abstract and airbrushed artwork and ending at stop number 10 – Makers Brunswick, where you can shop, create and connect. Or go a little wild and start at number 10 and end at number 1 – just don’t miss all the stops in between! The other stops include: Kenny Nobles Photography with landscapes and nature of southeast Georgia; Rummage, the upscale retail shop with over 300 pieces of art; Biron Tea Factory, artfully sharing samples of their teas; the Gallery on Newcastle featuring the artwork of Janet Powers; Social Butterfly with artisan works and more; the Wilcox Gallery in the Historic Ritz Theatre opening a new exhibit by the Georgia Coastal Artists Guild; the Brunswick Library featuring the work of Vivian Colbert in May; and SoGlo Art Gallery with a powerful installation by Christophe GOODSTEIN of children who are/were victims of war and genocide.

Amy Schuler, Education Outreach Coordinator at Coastal WildScapes will teach practical tips on attracting pollinators to your garden while supporting ecological balance! Arts projects for the kids are included, and you are invited to take home native seeds to start your own pollinator garden. Free admission.

Glynn Visual Arts hosts the Jekyll Island Conservation Presentation, “Beasts of Prey” from 3-5pm. Interpretive Naturalist Ayron Moleen will bring to GVA some of the most interesting and misunderstood wildlife on the Georgia coast: our predators. Learn about the power and misconceptions surrounding reptiles of the Golden Isles, what to do if you run into one, and details about the extensive research Jekyll Island Authority has done with these unique endemic animals. Free admission.
