Front porches and free music, what a fabulous combination! Brunswick PorchFest returns to the beautiful Old Town Historic District in Brunswick on Sunday, November 10th and you’re going to want to be there. This musical extravaganza showcases the community’s hospitality at its best, with all of the organizers, volunteers, porch hosts, performers, and bands generously donating their time, talents, and space, and working together to make this neighborhood celebration a fun event for all ages.
Starting at noon on Sunday, you’re invited to stroll through Old Town and enjoy a wide variety of
performances on different porches each hour until the grand conclusion of the event at the Rockin’ the Manor Porch Fest Finale at Brunswick Manor at 5:00 p.m. Last year’s performers included popular acts in the local music scene like The Pine Box Dwellers, Marc Andress and Jamie Renee Walker, Tonic Blue, and Uncle Dave Griffin. Classics and Country, Rock n’ Roll and Rock-a-billy, Blues and Bluegrass were all represented. We can’t wait to see this year’s lineup! There will also be food and drink vendors on site throughout the day and a tie-dye station where kids can express their creativity. PorchFest swag will be available for purchase so you can help support this annual event and ensure that it’s a tradition that continues.
Sounds fun, right? Be a part of it! You can register to be a Porch Host (if you live within the festival boundaries) or a Performer by October 10th. No porch or pipes? Volunteers to work the event are also needed to work in one-hour slots. Local businesses are also welcome to support PorchFest through donations or to contact the planning committee about sponsorship opportunities at porchfestbwk@gmail.com. A large turnout is expected and you won’t want to miss out. Save the date and come out to Old Town for this fun and friendly neighborhood event, rain or shine!
