2024 RSM Classic Champion Maverick McNealy
The RSM Classic—how sweet it is for the Golden Isles community. This much-anticipated Official PGA TOUR Event hosted by the Davis Love Foundation, returns to Sea Island Golf Club for its 16th year the week of November 17-23. Exciting competition on the course and Sea Island’s unrivaled Southern hospitality make the autumn tournament a must-do for golf lovers near and far. More than 1,200 volunteers help operate the tournament, from walking scorers, marshals, caddie services, player services, transportation, cart operations and hospitality.
While tournament grounds are closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday, you’re invited to watch the PGA TOUR Wives compete against their PGA TOUR pro husbands in the annual Wiffle Ball Classic on Tuesday evening, November 18. Held at the Frederica Academy Baseball field on St. Simons Island (time TBA), this free community event that includes local youth from the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia on each team is always a fun family event for a good cause!
Wednesday, November 19, is Community Day at the RSM with free entry for all patrons. Come preview PGA TOUR Professionals competing in this year’s tournament as they play in a highlight of tournament week: the Yamaha Pro-Am. Enjoy a relaxing day and take in the beautiful seaside setting of Sea Island Golf Club. Admission is free, as is the parking and round-trip shuttle transportation from the General Parking area located at the St. Simons Island Airport. Be sure to stick around that afternoon to catch the Charity Putting Challenge at 3:30 p.m. on the Speedway Putting course. For the Challenge, teams made up of one PGA Tour Player, one student from Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia, one Special Olympic Athlete, and a caddie/scorekeeper from the RSM Corporate Team, compete in a scramble format with charities from far and wide as benefactors. This is truly one of our favorite events of tournament week!
Competitive play for the tournament begins with Round 1 on Thursday, November 20. Round 1 and Friday’s Round 2 will be played on both the Seaside and Plantation Courses, with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. On Saturday, play shifts to only the Seaside Course with Round 3 beginning at 9:00 a.m. Saturday is also Military Appreciation Day, so be sure to wear red, white, and blue, and look to skies for the flyover at noon! Returning this year is the RSM Eagles on #15 initiative where $1500 will be awarded to the Coast Guard Foundation for each each eagle made on the 15th hole of the Seaside Course, so pay attention for that too! On Saturday and Sunday, bring the kids over to Hole #1 on Plantation to check out the Youth Zone sponsored by the First Tee. The final round of the tournament takes place on Sunday, November 23. Tee times begin at 9:00 a.m. and the trophy presentation will be held on the 18th green immediately following completion of play.
No matter what day you come out to the tournament, you’ll want to make sure you check out the Fan Experiences on the Golden Isles Green, High Noon Bar on Hole #13 and #15, and food trucks that include Porch, Del Sur, Sandwich Guyz, Chick-fil-A, Mr. Shuck’s Seafood, Halyards Restaurant Group, and Sandy Bottom Bagels. Of course, you’ll also find RSM Classic apparel and more in the merchandise tent.
Please note that the tournament is moving to all Digital Tickets for fans and private hospitality this year. Purchase your tickets and hospitality packages at rsmclassic.com. Additional spectator information will be available there too as we get closer to the tournament. Hope to see you there!
