One of nation’s top licensees in the Ashley Furniture HomeStore community has expanded from Jacksonville, Florida to Brunswick, Georgia, and will welcome everyone to its August ribbon cutting in a very unique way: by donating over 100 Tempur-Pedic mattresses to local children in need! Children from our local Boys and Girls Club, Faithworks Ministries and St. Simons Community Church will benefit from the organization’s dreamy donation.
“It’s not as unique as it may seem,” says CEO Howard Fineman. “Giving back is one of our pillars and we believe that supporting the communities in which we live and work is critical. As a leader in sleep across America, it’s our duty to make sure children everywhere get a good night’s sleep and are at their best everyday. We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Brunswick to Ashley’s focus on community service.”
Fineman has been recognized nationally for his role in the development and support of A Hope to Dream, the Ashley Furniture HomeStore program that donates beds to children in need. More than 15,000 free beds have been donated by the HomeStores to date. Because of Fineman's role in the program and the development of the nation’s newest prototype sleep showcase in Brunswick, Tempur-Pedic chose to partner with Ashley during the Grand Opening festivities to donate the mattresses to the children of Brunswick. Following the ribbon cutting at the Brunswick HomeStore at the Glynn Isles Market on August 17, at 4:30 p.m., guests are encouraged to stick around for free hot dogs and beverages, prize drawings, showroom tours and special grand opening offers to be enjoyed by anyone who would like to be a part of the exciting occasion.
A Hope to Dream began in our region in late-2010. Since then, the program has spread to HomeStores across the country. Now, a portion of proceeds from all sleep sales at the new Brunswick HomeStore will go to helping local children in need. Families who need beds are nominated by friends, family and social service agencies.
