Jekyll Island’s award-winning Shrimp and Grits Festival had a gorgeous weekend for its last September occurrence, as next year it moves to November. This family-friendly three-day event always draws a huge crowd eager to taste the shrimp and grits and other offerings being served up by local restaurants and participating vendors. There were 4 stages of live music and a wide variety of bands and performers who kept the crowds entertained. Cooking demonstrations, the kids’ play zone, and the Craft Beer Fest tent were all popular too. The arts & fine crafts and Georgia Grown market provided plentiful opportunities to take home special keepsakes and tasty treats. See you again next November!
