Redfern Goes Gold recently marked its 5th anniversary of supporting families in our community battling childhood cancer. Spearheaded by Katie Wilkin and Team Alexa, this family-friendly event has been held at Gnat’s Landing each September to help raise awareness about pediatric cancer and the local families affected by it. Although Katie’s daughter Alexa is no longer with us physically, her fun-loving spirit was still felt strongly and her memory lives on.
