The Georgia Alzheimer’s Foundation recently presented a $60,000 grant to Memory Matters Glynn to support its mission of supporting, educating, and enriching the lives of individuals dealing with memory issues and the people who care for them. The grant funds included proceeds from the October 2022 Golden Isles Alzheimer’s Walk. Located in Brunswick, Memory Matters provides free resources, social activities for persons with memory impairment, and support groups in Glynn County. “We are so proud to support an organization like Memory Matters,” said Andrea Mickelson, Executive Director of the Georgia Alzheimer’s Foundation. “In addition to supporting research, the Foundation is passionate about supporting those living with cognitive issues and their caregivers. Memory Matters is a great resource for families, and we want to help get the word out in our community.” For more information about Georgia Alzheimer’s Foundation, visit gaalz.org.
