Saint Cecelia is the patron saint of musicians and poets. Christ Church, Frederica will kick off a concert series in her name with a performance by Kathleen Turner, an accomplished and celebrated multi-faceted musician, and Maestro Luis Haza, world-renowned violinist and conductor, featuring Ludwig van Beethoven’s "Spring Sonata" for Violin and Piano, Op. 24.
The Saint Cecelia Series will offer religious and fine arts events for the enrichment of the Golden Isles community, continuing a long-standing relationship between the arts and the Church. Through a series of concerts and other events, the Saint Cecelia Series endeavors to become an outlet for showcasing high-quality music in the beautiful venue of Christ Church. The March concert is be a ticketed event held in the Parish Hall. This series will also serve as a fundraiser for the Church’s primary sacred music programs.
There will be an opening reception in the Parish Hall at 6:30pm. The concert begins at 7pm.
