Georgia Shrimp: A Coastal Stewards Workshop

Workshop to focus on the rich history of Shrimping in Georgia! Participants will get to trawl aboard the R/V Georgia Bulldog, practice throwing and mending a cast net, tour a seafood processing plant and learn how to identify and report black gill in shrimp. Learn about the economic importance of the shrimping industry and the connection between the success of the industry and health of coastal ecosystems. Program runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.on November 18.
