The United States Navy Concert Band, the premier wind ensemble of the U.S. Navy, is returning to the Golden Isles for the first time since March 2013. A free concert featuring a program of marches, patriotic selections, orchestral transcriptions and modern wind ensemble repertoire is scheduled for Sunday, March 8 at 3:00 p.m. in the Jekyll Island Convention Center. The Navy Band visit to Southeast Georgia, as part of its 32-city, 6-state tour, is sponsored by the Jekyll Island Authority in partnership with Golden Isles Arts & Humanities and the Brunswick-Glynn County Chamber of Commerce. While the performance is free, a ticket is required for admission.
