Play ball! On Saturday, Dec. 14, teams from Rich Products Corporation, Pinova Inc., Georgia-Pacific and the College of Coastal Georgia will compete in a United Way softball tournament fundraiser at Brunswick’s Howard Coffin Park, 1410 Lanier Blvd., at the intersection of Glynn Avenue (U.S. Route 17) and Gloucester Street (U.S. Route 25).
The action begins with two semifinal contests at 10:30 a.m., followed by the tournament championship matchup at 12:45 p.m.
Admission is free and concessions will be available. At stake in this second annual event, launched last year by Rich’s, is the honor of donating all player registration fees to the United Way cause.
Through special events and individual pledges from associates, Rich’s Consumer Brands Division, based on St. Simons Island, in 2012 raised approximately $37,000 for United Way.
Go cheer on your favorite team...there's bragging rights on the line!
