The Historic Harrington School Cultural Center 291 South Harrington Road, Saint Simons Island, Georgia 31522
Mercer University students give a presentation through film about working with the St. Simons African American Heritage Coalition to explore and help to preserve the history of African Americans on St. Simons Island through digital stories based on an interview conducted at the Harrington School.
Also Putnam County high school students explore the complex history of the place they are from, face it honestly, and use the past to begin steering Putnam County toward the future.
A reception will follow the presentation. Free and open to the public.
