The Plantation Ball, a black-tie dinner-dance presenting and honoring local debutantes took place over Thanksgiving weekend at The Cloister on Sea Island, continuing an elegant tradition established by the St. Simons Cotillion in 1988. Each member of the 2021 Cotillion Debutante Club, wearing a formal white gown with elbow-length gloves and carrying a dozen long-stemmed roses, was escorted by a marshal and formally presented by her father or a family members.
