The Rotary Club of St. Simons Island’s annual presentation of the Taps at Twilight Memorial Day event was once again a poignant show of patriotism. Neptune Park was filled with veterans and community members who came out to observe the holiday. Lt. Gen. Claude “Mick” Kicklighter, US ARMY, Retired, delivered a compelling address about this nation’s history. Red, white, and blue was proudly displayed and the air echoed with songs celebrating our country and the servicemen who have protected it.
