People often ask me, “Do I really need to bring a gift?” I always answer, “Yes.” We all know to give a gift when invited to a wedding, but with other occasions we tend to question if we should. Gifts don’t need to be expensive.

Never show up to someone’s home empty handed. Whether you’re visiting a best friend, new friend, or work friend, the gift should be based on the occasion and the relationship. It’s always best to bring a little something.
My favorite small gestures when going to someone’s home for dinner are fun paper cocktail napkins, good chocolate, a small bottle of wine or Prosecco, or fresh flowers.
When staying in someone’s home for the weekend, some thoughtful gifts are linen cocktail napkins, personalized items, a beautiful picture frame, or a coffee table book.
If invited to a graduation ceremony or party, bring a gift. The type of gift you bring should. be based on your relationship with the graduate.
Most of all, remember it’s the thought that counts. No gift is too small, and a thoughtful gift is always a better choice over the most expensive.
